Out of all the things that ran through my mind about where we were heading, the idea of meeting Roman’s family wasn’t something that made my list. I would have leaned more towards Roman taking me back to the Thunderbolt pack rather than the place where he grew up. Yet here we are, I guess. The more we get closer, the faster a million things come to mind at once. Like how I’m dressed in the most hideous of rags, barely holding up at the seams thanks to my shifting. How I am a nobody, how I don’t have anything to my name, any family of my own. I may be overthinking all of this and Roman’s reasons for bringing me, us, here. It’s not like he will suddenly realise I’m his mate and introduce me to his family as such. Not that my wolf isn't praying to the Goddess for this exact scenario. Fervor
