(Greyson)
I sighed when Christian walked out of the room. I knew that he had a lot of thinking to do and he hadn't quite accepted us as his mate as yet, but I wish he could just get over it already.
I know that it must be hard for him not to have his wolf; they were our other half, and without them, we wouldn't feel whole.
But that doesn't mean that he has to push us away every time I feel like we are getting somewhere with him. It was getting rather frustrating and I could tell that Jaxon and Mason were also as annoyed as I am.
"Maybe we should just mark him, pull a Landon stunt on him. That way, he can see that we won't leave him." Jaxon mumbled, making me slap him on the back of his head for being an i***t.
"And what do you think Micah, of all people, would do to us if we do that to his son? He will get Dad or Father to send us to no man's land. Even being immortal, we wouldn't survive it there, asshole." I grumbled, feeling angry.
Jaxon rubbed the back of his head, glaring at me.
"Alright, fine. But you can't blame me for wanting to do something! We’re just sitting here, watching him push us away like we don’t mean a damn thing to him." Mason, who had been quietly leaning against the wall, finally spoke up, his tone calm but filled with irritation.
"Jaxon’s right about one thing—this is getting old. But forcing him isn’t the answer. Christian’s stubborn as hell, and you know it’ll just backfire. We need to find another way to show him that he’s safe with us." I exhaled loudly, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Yeah? And what exactly do you suggest, Mason? Because I’m all out of ideas here." Mason shrugged, his expression unreadable.
"We wait. We keep proving to him that we’re not going anywhere, no matter how much he pushes. He’s scared, Greyson. Not just of losing us, but of losing himself. Without his wolf, he feels...broken." Those words hit harder than I cared to admit. I hated the thought of Christian feeling incomplete like he wasn’t good enough. He was good enough—he was everything. I just didn’t know how to make him believe that.
"Look," Jaxon said, his voice softer now.
"I know it’s hard for him. I do. But it’s hard for us, too. Every time he shuts us out, it feels like he’s rejecting the bond. And it’s killing me to see him like this."
"I know," I muttered.
"But marking him without his consent isn’t the answer. We’re not like Landon, Jaxon. We’re better than that." Jaxon frowned but didn’t argue, which was a small miracle in itself.
Mason pushed off the wall, walking over to stand beside us.
"We’ll figure it out. Christian may not have his wolf, but he’s still ours. And one way or another, we’ll make him see that." I nodded. I just hoped we’d find a way to reach him before he pushed us too far away.

"I got it!" Jaxon shouted, making me jump and growl getting ready to fight who interrupted me from my sleep.
I didn't even realize that I had fallen asleep on Christian's bed. I was just exhausted and decided to lie down for a few minutes.
"You got what? Finally figured out that you're being a d**k?" I asked, which got a chuckle from Mason.
"Shut up, Greyson, and hear me out. Christian wants to go to college right? That means he's probably planning on not coming back and running is not an option. So we go with him." I raised my eyebrow, thinking about this. Could it work?
"We have to take over as Alpha Kings soon, do you think Father would allow us to leave?" I asked. Jaxon crossed his arms, his excitement leaving slightly.
"He wouldn’t have a choice. We’re the future Alpha Kings. If we tell him it’s what we need to do to secure our mate and strengthen our bond, he’d have to accept it." Mason leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"It’s a good idea, Jaxon, but it’s not as simple as just packing up and leaving. If we’re going to follow Christian to college, we need a plan. We can’t just show up and smother him. He’ll see it as us trying to control him, and that’ll only push him further away." Mason reminded him.
"Exactly," I added, sitting up on the bed and rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
"Christian needs to feel like he’s making the choice, not like we’re forcing him into it. If we show up and stay close to him, he’ll shut us out completely." Jaxon groaned, throwing his hands in the air.
"So what? We just let him go and hope he doesn’t vanish on us? That’s not an option, Greyson. You know that." he replied.
"I’m not saying we let him go," I snapped.
"I’m saying we are smart about this. If we’re going to follow him, we need to be discreet. We enroll at the same college, give him space, and let him come to us on his own terms. If we’re just there in the background, he’ll feel less pressured." Mason nodded slowly.
"That could work. If he knows we’re nearby but not breathing down his neck, it might make him feel safer. He’s scared of losing his independence, but at the same time, he doesn’t want to be alone. We have to strike a balance." Jaxon still looked skeptical, but he didn’t argue.
"Alright, fine. We’ll do it your way. But if he tries to pull some disappearing act, don’t blame me for dragging him back by force." I smirked, though the tension in my chest hadn’t fully eased.
"If he tries to run, you’ll have to get in line. But for now, we do this right. No pressure, no forcing him into anything. We let him see that we’re here for him—always." Mason clapped me on the back.
"Then it’s settled. We’ll talk to Father and make the arrangements. Christian might not believe it yet, but we’re not giving up on him. He’s ours, and we’ll prove it to him—one way or another." I agreed with him.
I know that Father will pull one of his magic tricks to get us enrolled if he agrees to this.
So, we are going to follow Christian and see what he's up to. If it goes south, we can just grab him and leave. This is a good idea.
