“I can’t believe that thing tried to play chicken with us,” Micah chuffed out looking back at Aken. “Did you see how it tucked tail right at the end? I thought I was going to get to have some fun. Aken?”
Aken sighed and stood up. He walked back over to Levi and Micah with his lips pursed tightly together.
“Are we stuck?” Levi asked, watching Aken rub the back of his neck.
“Yeppah.”
“I thought you were good with this stuff! I’m starving. What are we going to eat?” Micah asked frustratedly. He then turned his head and eyeballed the glowing eyes of the monsters in the darkness. “I want mine extra crispy.” He looked at Levi as the eyes became a bit smaller, backing away.
