Elena watched as Aba's warm brown eyes fluttered open. She sifted her fingers through his hair, smiling at him. “You look much better.”
He smiled, sitting up and placing a soft kiss on Elena's lips. “How are you feeling?”
“Me?” she giggled, kissing his nose. “I'm perfectly fine. Mom brought in food for when you wake up. She was really worried about you.”
“Lucy has always been kind to me. She put her faith and trust in me ... I'll always be grateful to her.”
