Lu Chen’s Business Card
The man’s dark eyes gleamed with interest at the woman’s defiant response. The corner of his mouth lifted into a faint, dangerous smile.
“Quite a bold attitude for an intruder,” he remarked.
In the blink of an eye, before Leng Yue could react, the man moved with astonishing speed.
His large hands seized both of her wrists and twisted her arms behind her back, turning her around until her back was pressed firmly against the cold wall beside the door. His other hand rose, his strong fingers gripping her chin with firm, unyielding control.
Their faces were now only inches apart.
The clean, masculine scent of cedarwood soap mingled with his natural warmth, filling Leng Yue’s senses.
“Anyone who trespasses on my private property without permission has to pay a very expensive fine,” the man whispered, his hoarse voice brushing against the skin of her neck. His sharp eyes dropped briefly to her naturally red lips. “If you refuse to pay that fine with your body, then what exactly are you going to pay it with?”
Leng Yue made no attempt to struggle or foolishly lash out at his chest. She knew that would only waste her strength.
Instead, she held her ground and met his intimidating gaze without the slightest hint of awkwardness.
“I have a business reputation and dignity worth far more than you seem to realize, sir. I’m not some cheap woman whose body you can claim whenever you please,” Leng Yue replied sharply, emphasizing every word. “Tell me the amount of compensation you’re demanding for this accidental intrusion, and I’ll make sure it’s transferred directly into your account.”
The man gave a low chuckle—a deep, resonant laugh that betrayed his growing interest in the woman he had cornered.
He released her wrists and chin, then took a step back, giving her some distance.
Reaching into the drawer of the luxurious teak nightstand beside his bed, he pulled out an exclusive black business card.
It was made from thick carbon fiber, with elegant lettering etched across its surface in pure gold.
With a casual flick of his fingers, he tossed the card through the air.
Leng Yue caught it effortlessly.
She brought the heavy card closer and read the bold lettering engraved across it:
**LU CHEN — CEO & FOUNDER OF SOVEREIGN ENTERPRISE**
_Lu Chen?!_
Leng Yue’s pupils contracted slightly.
The man standing before her, dressed in nothing but a bath towel, was Lu Chen!
A living legend in the international business world. A man in his early thirties who sat at the very top of the Sovereign Enterprise empire.
He was notorious for his ruthless business acquisitions, virtually untouchable by the media, and feared by the city’s entire elite class—including the Fu and Leng families.
“Contact the private number on that card if you truly intend to settle your debt to me,” Lu Chen said coldly as he picked up a black silk robe from a nearby chair and slipped it on with effortless elegance.
“Now, leave my property before I decide to exercise my right to collect what you owe me.”
Leng Yue straightened the slightly rumpled folds of her blazer, squared her shoulders, and looked at Lu Chen with a captivating, self-assured smile.
“Thank you for the emergency accommodation, Mr. Lu. I’ll make sure this debt is repaid down to the last cent.”
Without showing the slightest hint of panic or haste, Leng Yue turned, unlocked the door, and walked out of the villa with her head held high, carrying herself like a queen.
