“They’re in London now.” Helena was bewildered. “Paggen said he didn’t want to ring from the island and waited to stop at a call box when they got up here. He’s leading the way, and Fred Arnold is bringing Martin in the little van they use to fetch supplies. Paggen said they had to smuggle him past the guard on the Strada because he’s hoping to keep the whole thing absolutely quiet.”
