27. We don't do secrets

1000 Words
3rd Person POV “Dear mates, I have something to reveal to you.” Liv pauses and looks at Avalon and Laius. “We are waiting,” Avalon says impatiently, not caring for more drama.  “I recently got to know who my father is.” Liv starts. Elric, knowing that Liv was bound by the oath and could not reveal her father's identity herself, speaks, “Her father is my second in command, Lord Maximus.”  “Wow, so kitten is a hybrid?!” Laius mutters astonished.   She nods. Laius looks at her in awe, hybrids were not rare, they were mythical. He was looking forward to getting to know the extent of his mate's powers and revelled on how special his girl was.  Avalon was also shocked, he always thought that Mel's mate wasn't anything but a wizard. A very weird and secretive wizard, who would for some unknown and probably stinky reason never show himself.  “So, you didn't know who was your father before? You didn't know you were a hybrid?” Laius asked.  “Yes, I didn't.” Liv nods. “I got to know it the day after we met and as he made me take a blood oath binding me to don't reveal his identity, I couldn´t share the news with anyone.”  “That is quite extreme… Why would he go through such trouble to keep his secret?” Avalon asks pensive.  Laius answers after thinking about it, “I can see some reasons. The knowledge that Liv and … is Lea too?” Elric nods. “…are hybrids could endanger them. Make them targets of many supernatural beings. It is said that the blood of hybrids is alluring for vampires, it draws them like a moth to a flame. Other beings could also feel threatened or fascinate by them and try to eliminate or kidnap them”. He growls at these words, which is echoed by Avalon's and Elric's growls. “They could also be trapped into disputes for powers or even used as currency in some sort of traffic,” he says growling again. Liv was quite surprised, she didn't understand fully how at risk she and Lea would be if Maximus's identity was revealed. “Wow, I didn't know that it was so dangerous to be a hybrid… it's not like this for Fae and Elves.”  “It's different, dear. Fae and Elves have the same kind of magic. A child of a Fae and an elf isn't even considered a hybrid.” Elric explains.   “A hybrid would be a bloody diamond in some current disputes in Hell,” Laius adds, making Liv look at him confused. “In Hell, there are plenty of power-hungry beings, demons, and non-demons. A hybrid could be used as a prize or even as a secret weapon since the extension of their powers is unknown.” “Does it mean I am very powerful, and I can kick your royal asses?” Liv smirks.  “It's hard to tell. I don't know.” Elric replies.   Avalon utters thoughtful, “I don't understand something… as a hybrid she should emanate a different kind of energy. It could be known, felt that she is part elf by her scent, her aura, and her energy…” “She has a slightly different scent, there is something not witchy like about it. But I never could pinpoint what was it.” Laius utters and Avalon nods in agreement.  “I have blocked her powers when she was a new-born baby and masked her scent. So, her elf part couldn´t really expand. It is dormant, that is why its energy and aura can't be felt. I have done the same to Lea.” Elric explains.  “So, we should keep this as a secret.” Avalon states and Laius nods.  “In conclusion, we must not mention that to anyone apart from us and her family,” Laius utters.  Liv clears her throat and they all look at her. “About this family part… Lea knows our father. She is allowed to see him. I am not sure if she knows that she is a half-elf, but I don't think so. The funniest part is about my mom, she has no clue about anything. I think the aim of that bloody blood oath was also not to tell her about it.” Elric nods. “So, my mom doesn't know who my father is.” “And she can't get to know that…  Actually, no one should know that.” Elric says, giving Liv a pointed look.  Liv shrugs. “They are my mates! Differently than other people, I don't want to keep secrets from my mates.” She says half-annoyed.  “So, we can't tell your mother that your father is your father? How did they even…?” Laius asks.  Liv shrugs, “Don't ask…” “And I thought that families in Hell were complicated,” Laius mutters, shaking his head. “Welcome to Hell 2.0,” Liv utters staring at Elric with a look of frustration.  “We won't tell that to anyone and we will protect you...” Avalon says “and your little sister,” Laius adds, cutting Avalon off.   Liv jumps on Laius's arms and hugs him, making him chuckle. She pulls apart and goes towards Avalon, hugging him thankfully.  Liv was mostly afraid for Lea. Liv knew she wasn't a King of a species or one of the most powerful beings in existence. But she could – or at least she thought she could – uphold herself. Her little sister was too young to have developed her witch powers and was totally vulnerable, in case anyone gets to know about what she is and tries to harm her.  * Quick question, do you guys prefer more s*x/ intimacy scenes or less s*x/intimacy scenes? *
