17. Giving it a try

1442 Words
3rd Person POV   Liv asked her 3 mates to meet her in Avalon’s castle. They were waiting for her and Avalon was pacing around the sitting room agitatedly.  She entered the room and looked at each of them. They all had expectant faces and Laius had a playful smirk. Maybe he was recalling last afternoon’s events.  Her 3 males looked at her intently.  “I decided to give a chance to this bond thing. But we will have a trial period, see if it works before the mating and marking thingy.” Liv uttered.  Laius asked eagerly, “When can we mate you?”  Avalon rolled his eyes and Elric shook his head at Laius’ antics. “I don’t know... I want to get to know you guys before... see how the relationship works. We are not in rush, are we?” she asked.   The 3 of them gazed at her with a painful look.  “Come on guys, I need some time to get used to the idea that my first time will be with 3 males,” Liv said.  “First time?” Laius asked with a big grin. Liv nodded.  It is not like Liv had a chance to be with anyone, she was almost locked up at Avalon’s castle since she was 16. Apart from that, she was home-schooled for t couple of years before been kept in the castle. It was quite interesting though, to be educated by her cranky aunty, a Nympho, and a sweet fairy.  That was quite a pleasant surprise for Laius. Since demons had an enormous s*x drive and were very promiscuous, no demon would be a virgin at 18. He revealed in the thought that no one else has ever touched his female and that he (and her other mates) would be her firsts.  “Also, the idea of being bonded to eternity with 3 big dominant males is quite overwhelming. We need to see if that.” Liv gestured to herself and her mates. “Will work. Consider that a trial period.”  “You won’t regret giving the bond a chance, dear,” Elric said smiling.  She smiled back. “I hope not”.  “So, we should spend time together. How is it going to be? Where our mate will live?” Avalon asked Laius and Elric, turning his back on Liv and looking only at the other two Kings. Avalon knew that many details must be discussed, he was looking forward to moving past it and be finally able to claim his mate. After the marking and mating were done and the bond was completed, things would change a lot and he wouldn’t need to deal with Laius and Elric anymore or having them wandering around his Realm.  For sure they wouldn’t accept easily that Avalon would keep Livia from them, they would declare war, but Avalon would have time to prepare for that. The element of surprise would be his advantage.   “Hey, I’m still here!... I’ve just given you a chance, don’t start it being a jerk.” She complained with a frown, as she took a step towards Avalon. That’s rich! Now that I gave them a chance, Avalon would start ignoring me and treating me as an invisible child. Ha-ha, he only thinks so!  “Enough, Livia! I’m your mate and your King, you won’t treat me like that! I demand respect!” Avalon said.   Avalon’s patience was over, he wouldn’t tolerate Liv’s insolence and her disrespectful treatment any longer, no one has ever treated him like she did before, that wasn’t the way to treat a King. Especially not a great King like him. Liv huffed “Oh, Your Majesty.” she bowed mockingly. “You are also the lunatic who kept me locked in your castle for 2 years.” He inhaled sharply. “I did it to keep you safe since I didn’t know where your mother was taking you every week.”  “Well, that was totally uncalled for,” Liv replied folding her arms on her chest.   “Little mate, I would do anything for your safety. That’s not up to discussion. And I’m the one to decide what’s called for.” Avalon said.  Elric cleared his throat.  “She’s not only yours!” Laius added.  Avalon shot him an irritated look and exhaled sharply.  “We are the ones to decide what to do to keep you safe. You’re precious to us, so we would do anything to protect you, dear.” Elric chimed in, reaching to caress Liv’s side and looking intently into her eyes. “No thanks, I don’t need 3 hot, but bossy dudes keeping me locked and saying that’s for my safety,” Liv replied raising a single brow at them.   “You won’t be locked anymore, Liv,” Avalon said. “I better not be, otherwise, this relationship won’t work. Damn, I’m your mate, your equal, you can’t lock me up or decide things without telling me, without consulting me. Just don’t act all cavemen and drag me to a golden cage.” She said.  “You are right.” Elric agreed and the other 2 males looked at him with narrowed eyes.  “Of course, I’m. I’m well-known for that, being almost always right.” She uttered with a small smile.  Laius grinned at her remark. Avalon narrowed his eyes at Liv and Elric only shook his head in response.  “The problem here is that you 3 are used to everyone submitting to your every whim. Then comes a chick and says frog off and you all are WOW.” She added. “But just FYI, if you guys act like jerks, I could always change my mind and run to the Human Realm. There I would be mateless, free. And even you ‘powerful old kings’won’t able to track me in a world without magic.” “You won’t!” Avalon replied enraged, even the thought of losing his long-awaited mate drove him mad.  “Oh, I would do anything. You should already know that about me!” she contested.  “Stop talking nonsense and behave, Livia!” Avalon retorted. Why couldn´t his mate behave like everyone else in his Realm, obey him and treat him with reverence? What is wrong with her? Laius snapped at him, eyes glowing red in aggravation, “Don’t yell at her!!” He wrapped an arm around his mate protectively.  Avalon growled in response, his expression turning even tenser. How this Prick Devil dares to try to command him in his OWN castle and worse than that, about the way he treats his OWN  mate!   Livia took Laius’ arm off of her gently and muttered under her breath: “I’ll let the big boys fight.” She motioned to leave. But Laius's arms found her again and he brought her back flush against his chest, “You are so devilish, Sugar.” “It’s one of my many qualities.” She smiled at him.  Elric cleared his throat, attracting the attention of the 2 edgy males. “Let’s try to start it right, with no fights.” Avalon narrowed his eyes at him but nodded.  Laius exhaled in boredom. “Fine” Liv said, “fights later” and smiled sweetly.  Elric shook his head. His mate is a handful. “Anyways, I want to keep living here.” She said. Elric gazed at her without being able to hide the frustration in his eyes. “It is more practical, and I would be close to my friends and family,” Liv added.  “After the mating, we shall talk about it again,” Elric uttered and Liv agreed with a nod.  Avalon was quite pleased to keep having her at his Realm, his castle, and always close to him. There was where she belonged, her home, with him.     Please don't vote for this book for the Dreame Anniversary Event, non-signed books such as this one and Intertwined aren't eligible for prices, vote for The Queen of Alphas and She is not my Luna instead.
