Ava stood on the balcony resting her hands on the cool edge. She was staring off in the distance breathing in the fresh crisp morning air. She felt a familiar pair of warm hands snake around her waist and with a smile, she leaned back into him. She had been here for a few weeks and it still didn’t quite feel like home. Not yet. She was also sad she hasn’t heard from Kain. It had been since the beginning of the school year since she had seen him. She wondered how her brother was doing and couldn’t help but worry about him.
