Lilith's wide smile immediately vanished when she saw Avery was the one who opened the door. “I thought that you are a warrior, Lilith. I didn’t know that you work in the kitchen,” Avery mocked her while blocking the door for her. Lilith was standing with a tray filled with bowls.
“It’s none of your business. Step aside. This is for Xavier,” Lilith growled at Avery, trying to threaten Avery. “Give that to me,” Avery ordered her in a cold tone this time. “Go away,” Lilith suddenly struck Avery’s chest with the tray’s corner when Avery was about to take the tray, taking her off guard.
