Chapter 5

HELLIOUS

I didn't leave the woman that night as I took care of her. I don't know why I was staying and looking at her, but all I know is that there is something with this woman that woke something at me up.

"Prince Hellious, King Armund wants to see your presence, ", the servant said as he knocked on the door.

I, who was still watching the woman's face and sitting on the bed, stands up to open the door and face the servant.

"Speak". I said to the servant in front of me, everyone in the palace is in my presence since I have this deadly aura that surrounds me.

"Your father wants to speak to you, your highness." One guard answered me as I told him to speak.

I know what my father wants to talk about, he was going to talk about how to catch all those rebellious vampires who did nothing but kill humans just to fill their thirst for humans' blood.

I and those people in my kingdom might be vampires but, we don't drink human blood; we drink from the animals that we will catch in the forest since; we have trust in the moon goddess that vampires should not drink human blood and also they cannot go into the werewolves place vice versa, and that is why I was wondering why does this woman come to our land knowing we are her enemies, their clan was a mortal enemy even before, it was a good thing that the moon goddess sent someone special for them.

I followed where the servants went and then we went inside an enormous hall where my father usually meets all of his subordinates. I am the eldest among my siblings I have two sisters and one brother who was always not in the palace since he wanted to live his life without rules, while my two younger sisters, well basically one since they were twins but the other one died, she is still young but not too young since she is already thousand years old. She also does not stay here in the palace, she loves to explore many things.

"Greetings, Father," I said as I saw my father who was now sitting on the throne while his red eyes were looking straight at me.

"Where have you been all this morning, Hellious." King Armund asked me as he has rarely seen me this morning wherein fact I should be with him to talk to some advisers about how can we strengthen our support in our borderline since every kingdom should have one to avoid getting on someone's territory and I was one vampire who was guarding the front gate.

Some vampires from the rebels have been attacking some clans, and what we were worried as off now, my father was worried that it might cause some war between us and some other clans.

"I've been in my room the whole day, Father," I answered my father.

"I thought you will watch and roam around in our kingdom?" My father asked me

"I just took a break father, and besides, Monti was there for my presence," I said to my father as I am talking about my cousin who was also my friend.

"But you're the crown prince of our species, Hellious. You must know how to bear with that title and its responsibility." My father told me which I do understands.

We are still talking when the big door opened, and Queen Sliviania------ my mother came out.

"What's wrong my dearest?" My mother asked when she saw me and my father talking about some serious matter.

I immediately went to my mother and give her a peck on the cheeks. "Nothing, Mother. Father and I were just talking about the borders". I answered my mother.

My father went down from his throne and offered his hand to my mother to help her. As my mother accept my father's hand, my father kissed it, and they sat together on their thrones as they faced me.

"Why does it seem you were hiding from us, my dearest son?" My mother asked as she tried to read what was on my mind but I am blocking it.

I was not surprised when my mother asked me about that, one of our abilities is can read someone's mind but only royalty and had some superior power that can block someone from reading what is on our mind, I was born with eminence power, I am stronger than my father and some ancestors.

"I wasn't hiding something, mother," I told her.

My mother was still suspicious but I always told them the truth (not this time), it was just she was smelling something she wasn't supposed to in our place, and surely she also saw some of our servants doing something in a vacant room which is intended for our guest and we have no expected guest to arrive today, and that alone left her thinking that I am hiding something.

"As you said, my son." My mother responds.

"Do you have anything to say, Father?" I asked out of nowhere.

"Why do you seem you are hurrying?" My father asked me. " You can join me and your mother to the banquet for lunch." He said as he asked me to join them since my siblings were not there. As like what I have said, both of them are busy with their own life.

I first hesitated since the woman in the guest room is still not in shape and I was also in worry that my parents will find out about her, it would cause chaos since the clans both agreed not to step on someone's territory to avoid war between clans. I did not reject my parent's offer to join them at the banquet to avoid more suspicions.

Selenesee woke up from her long slumber. She saw it in an unfamiliar place and her body seems so weak that she just wanted to seep again, which she did since her energy was still not enough. She would just be weaker if she will force herself to move. Especially since she feels like every part of her body is aching.
