My hands trembled as I stared blankly at the screen, the image now burned into my brain. Slowly, my grip weakened, and the phone slipped from my fingers, hitting the floor with a soft thud.
“Goddess, Nathan!” Madison snapped. “Do you want to break my phone?” She crouched quickly, snatching it off the ground.
I didn’t answer. I just shook my head, still dazed, before finally looking up at her. My voice came out cracked.
“W…who banished her?”
She rose to her feet, brushing invisible dust off the screen. “Dad did.”
My brows lifted slightly. “He found her in the hotel too?”
