Adele:
By the time I reached my own room, my heart was still pounding in my chest.
I barely had a second to collect myself before I spotted Madison inside, surrounded by a few maids.
My steps faltered.
She was standing in front of the mirror, admiring herself, but the moment she caught sight of me, she whirled around with her eyes widened in shock.
“Adele!!”
She rushed over, grabbing me by the shoulders and shaking me slightly.
“Are you okay?? About last night…” Her voice trailed off as she glanced around at the maids, hesitating for a moment before lowering her tone. “I don’t know how it happened, but I later found out the drink had a lot of alcohol in it. I’m so sorry. Eve gave it to me when I told her it was for you. She didn’t know it was alcoholic either.”
My stomach twisted.
