Adele:
As I yanked Eve’s hair even harder, her scream echoed, sharp with agony, but I wasn’t letting go.
She was a b***h and she deserved to die just like she had once hoped I would.
If I had a gun, I swear I’d blow a hole right through her damn skull.
“Let me go, Adele! Y-you’re h..hurting me,” she stammered, wincing from the pain.
But I just laughed. It was a loud and bitter sound that filled the space.
When she reached up, trying to pry my fingers from her scalp, I grabbed her wrist with my free hand and dug my nails deep into her skin until she cried out again.
“That’s for the wolfsbane, you treacherous snake,” I hissed before yanking her head up so she had no choice but to look me in the eye.
The Eve who’d been running her mouth non-stop at the abandoned building was gone.
