For the past ten minutes, I’d been pacing the room like a caged animal while she went off, ranting nonstop about the mess I’d made.
How I was a disgrace. How this wasn’t how she raised me. How I was loose for letting two men sleep with me.
“Mum, it was a mistake! I didn’t f*****g plan for this to happen!” I finally snapped, spinning around to face her because I couldn’t take another second of it.
“A mistake?” she hissed, glaring at me with so much venom, I genuinely thought she might strangle me right then and there. “And don’t you dare use curse words at me!
