Jared He spent the night on the couch in Wynta’s apartment. Gordon wasn’t wrong. She was in real pain, even in her sleep she made soft sounds that were pain-filled. Nearly every time she moved, she groaned or winced, he wasn’t getting much sleep himself. Though it was the half-mumbled words that had his attention as she moved about in there. Sometimes he was certain she was saying the word ‘mother’ but he was half asleep, out there on her couch, he’d left her be for the most part, only gone in when she’d gasped in real pain.
