She slept like the dead, and upon rolling over and picking up her phone to check the time, she saw that it was 0717, but she also saw half a dozen missed messages from yesterday and last night. She clicked the notification and saw all of them were from Tallah.
That surprised her a bit. She clicked into the message and scrolled them back to the first one to read them in order. It came through not long after lunchtime. That was why she’d missed them all; Jared had already been in her apartment and she'd crashed out without checking her phone.
