Meeting the Parents

1498 Words

Asha Maybe this wasn’t a good idea. I feel nervous. More nervous than one would feel meeting the parents because I am about to meet a lot more people than two. And these people mean a lot to Max. Despite how much Max tells me that I am his mate and that’s all that matters, I can’t shake how I feel. I want to make a good impression. And I also need acceptance from them. How can I ask a wolf pack to accept a human? So I bite my lip, which is my nervous tick, as we get into the car. Max watches as I visibly shiver as I get the SUV. We have a driver today, so the both of us will sit together in the back. It’s supposed to help with my nerves. The second he enters the back, he scoots over and puts an arm around me. He uses his other hand to gently tug my lip out from in between my teeth.
