Mona blinked at the sight of the devastated sitting room and then at her b****y mated. It took her a moment to realize that he was bleeding for real and this was not a nightmare she would wake up from.
"chocolate what happened?" Her voice was the lowest Aden had ever heard it and she didn't even follow up with more questions. She just stood there looking at him with her wide open big brown eyes.
"Mona..." he drifted off because when he stepped forward to hold her, she took a step back from him, that action broke his heart a little. "Mona, I'm so sorry I failed to explain what happened to you properly..."
He took an other step forward his arms aching to hold her but again she took a step back, wrapping her arms around her torso, hugging herself.
