"Have I ever told you how much I hate you?" Zach mumbled under his breath, almost a gritted whisper.
"Many times," the person in front of him replied. "Did I once believe you? Never."
Zach rolled his eyes.
"You see, that's what a best friend does. Absolutely not acknowledge how much his best friend claims to hate him, even if he looks at him with a murderous glance ready to make threats about killing him right there and then, which he probably would have if not for scaring his girl friend with his violent behaviour."
