Raven was suddenly surprised by Anna’s reaction. He wasn’t expecting that!
He straightens his back. His eyes widen as he stared at her. Anna’s sleepy eyes greeted him. But the creased on his forehead deepened as he analyzed her reaction.
He just confessed that he wasn't kind, that he has dark motives so he let himself get too close with her. And with all those things he had revealed, were those three words just caught her attention?
"Yes," he answered hoarsely. He cleared his throat to calm himself. Anna’s eyes fluttered a few times before her eyes direction to his neckline. With what she did, he could clearly see the details and her full eyelashes. And with the distance that left between them, Raven was again tempted with Anna’s scent.
