"Umm you missed the turn for home?" I gesture to the right as Noah drives on unfazed.
"Earth to Noah Sterns. Did our parents move and not tell me?" His lips finally twitch a little.
"Yep they left us for beach life. Nutville bought out an island. Calling it Isle of Nuts."
"Then why are we here and not heading for the island? I'll transfer to a school there." Some sun and sand sound amazing right now.
"You'd abandon me for a beach house huh?" He doesn't turn my way.
"Yep. A permanent tan and some waves to listen to as I fall asleep. Coffee outside with ocean sunrises. I'm out babe." I grin at him.
"I know where to take you this summer I suppose. Though I might be hanging out at the pool on my own." He grumbles playfully. For a minute I think about us lounging on the beach. H
