“When will you tell me about my Daddy?” Liam asked me out of the blue as I drove him over to Jamal’s parents’ house.
My fingers tightened slightly around the steering wheel.
I was taken about by his question.
Where did that come from?
He had asked me about it a few times in the past, but I told him we would revisit the topic when he was old enough.
I didn’t want to lie to him, so I didn’t just come up with something else. I wanted him to wait until he was old enough, so he would be able to understand.
I knew it was selfish for me to keep him a secret from his father, but I thought it was the best option at the time. I still felt the same way about it.
Patrick would have found a way to make me stay if he had known about our baby. And I didn’t want
