From Enemies to Couple.

Episode 2

The king of Gaa was not comfortable that night. He paced in his room until his wife was begging him to stop. According to her, Sando was old enough to take care of himself. The king of Gaa was not listening to her because she was not getting the reason behind his discomfort. He turned to look at his wife's face and said, "You do not understand do you? The son you re talking about has never been to war with me until this last time and then he suddenly went missing from the camp and you do not think what I am thinking?"

"What are you thinking my king?" Asked the queen.

"You were there with that soldier and you heard what he said. Your son was not comfortable with what was happening at the camp. He left the camp because he hated what I did to the people of Amor. If he hates what I do to my enemies then he too is my enemy and his disappearance has proved me right" the king then sat. The queen went and knelt before him.

"I would be dead ten times over if I should carry it in my heart that my husband is angry with his son and has branded him an enemy to his throne. Please my husband and my king, calm yourself and we can find him together" said the queen. The king asked her to stand and she did and then he looked up at one of his generals and said to him, "Get me the princess of Amor. I heard she was the last person my son spoke to. I would like to know what they discussed" the King's instructions were obeyed and before long the princess of Amor was standing before the king of Gaa with the sign of hunger written all over her face. The king of Gaa then began,

"If you answer my question correctly and truthfully I will let you live but if you lie to me you will die where you stand"

"My king, how will you know if I lie to you or if I tell you the truth? If I tell you the truth you will not want to hear my head will go for it and if I tell you a lie you want to hear and you later find out the truth my head will equally go for it and so if you want me dead just say it"

The utterance of the princess of Amor made the king to become silent for a while before he sighed and then dismissed the part where he said "if you lie to me you will die where you stand" and the asked, "Tell me young lady, what was that you discussed with my son at the camp?"

The princess was not expecting the question and so she looked from one face to another and then rested her eyes towards the king before answering him. "I do not know what you are saying my lord" said the princess of Amor.

"You know exactly what I am saying and you had better start talking to me before I will try to find out the truth from you by force. I do not like torturing ladies but I will torture you if you lie to me because it is my son that we are talking about here. So speak now" warned the king.

"I discussed nothing with your son. He came to me and I spat on him. He was asking me why I was struggling with the soldiers at the camp who were molesting me and I asked him would I rather allow them force themselves on me. I never had any further discussion, moreover it was not a discussion that we had rather he spoke to me and I replied him. If you say we discussed it would seem we sat down to talk to each other" the princess sounded intelligently and the king stood up and walked up to her.

"Are you trying to play smart with me little girl?" He asked.

"No my lord" she replied and the king raised up his head and spoke to the general, "Take her back to her cell and call in the patrol teams immediately" the king went back to reoccupy his seat and the princess was taken away. The queen sat down and waited. Before long the patrol teams arrived carrying their swords and dressing up in their uniforms.

"I know that by now it is no longer a rumour of how my son went missing at the camp. I had wanted to wait for a bit longer to know if he would return but I'm not a man that likes to wait when I know I should be acting. You will go out there and look for Sando and do not return until you find him. If you do not find him do not return and if you find him and he refuses to return with you do not return either until he changes his mind. If after persuading him and he refuses to follow you back then stay there with him until he agrees to follow you back" When the king had concluded the patrol team found it hard to move. One of them moved forward and knelt before the king.

"Sorry to ask my lord; what if your son returns while we are gone in search of him, how will you make us know that he has returned or how will we know that he is back to the palace?"

"Wherever you are you will hear the news of his return if he eventually returns while you are out there in search of him and when you hear that he has returned you too can return to continue with your services" said the king.

The patrol team then bowed before the king and went on their way in search of the missing Prince. Once they were gone the king stood up and said to the queen, "I will not kill the king of Amor until my son returns to me" and then he left.
