"You can leave without me, Layla. I'll be staying back."
"What?"
"You heard me."
"Wait—is this because of her? You were hesitant to come here in the first place, and now you're willing to leave everything for...for a lost cause? D...come on."
"Olivia is not a lost cause, Layla. And I do not want to have this conversation with you. But you, of all people, should know better. I will not be returning to New York until I've sorted this out."

"So what now? You are going to give up on everything? Your work..."
"You and I know my work should be the least of our concerns now."
"Right."
