(Third Person POV) The lukewarm soup barely registered on Kai's tongue. His gaze, instead, was glued to the swirling patterns in the broth, a pathetic attempt to distract himself from the whirlwind of thoughts swirling in his head. Lunch was supposed to be a respite, a chance to unwind and catch up with his friends, Eric and Kris, but all Kai could think about was Luna. Her intoxicating scent, a blend of vanilla and sweet coconut, still lingered in the air, a phantom presence even after she'd left the common room. He’d barely managed a few bites before the image of her, etched into his mind’s eye, had overtaken the meal. The way her dark hair cascaded over her shoulders, the subtle curve of her neck, the determined set of her jaw as she expertly drew on on her sketchbook. He remembered
