I walked to the castle where Elijah was waiting for me. I bow my head in respect and he playfully growls which made me chuckle.
“Come on, let’s go inside. Yadieliz is waiting inside” Elijah says. My heart pounds in my chest. Roger wanted to come, but I told him I needed to do this on my own and I was glad that he understood. I follow Elijah to his office and I see Yadieliz sitting on Elijah’s chair behind his huge desk. As soon as she sees me she smiles. She get’s up and hugs me. I hold onto her tighter without hurting the baby, afraid this will be the last hug she gives me. She pulls back and looks at me.
“Hey, why the tears?” she asked gently wiping them away.
