Ever since last night, Elijah has been keeping his distance from me. I felt him watching me this morning during training, yet he would avoid me at all costs, and it pissed me off. I knocked on the back door and the sliding door opened. As soon as Bill, the bouncer, saw me, he closed the door and opened the door for me.
“Hey Shadow”, Bill said.
“Hey Bill. How is the crowd?” I asked.
“Insane. We have a full house tonight”, Bill said.
“How is Roxy?” I asked.
“She’s good. She’s getting things ready for Bret’s birthday tomorrow”, Bill said.
“That’s awesome. How old is Bret going to be? Ten, now?” I asked.
“Yeah, he’s going to be ten. Time does pass by fast”, Bill said, and I nodded.
“Go on in. You’re the last fight” he said, and I nodded. I walked inside, giving the
