“Let’s go somewhere else.”
I nodded, the sincere look In his eyes somehow made me relax. He took me somewhere close to a river, to a canopy shaded spot meant for relaxation and offered a drink which of course I did not consume.
It was just us in this part of—whatever this place was.
“Cassie didn’t mean any harm. She’s playful like that. A bit too much this time I must admit.”
“You should know better how to control your people.” I said.
He nodded as if he was agreeing with me then stared at me for a moment, “Did you hear the voice again?”
He was referring to what happened to me the previous day. Oh yeah, I still needed to thank him for saving my ass.
“No.” I shook my head. “It’s almost as if she’s gone. Thank you Alpha Ian.” I really didn't know how much longer I could’ve held on
