Lyra and Kimmie were sitting together as they watched the wedding unfold. Sienna had come down the aisle on her grandfather’s arm and the two women had snickered at how much her three brothers had tears streaming down their faces.
“I thought they were mobsters,” Kimmie snorted.
“Same.”
Ajax nudged Kimmie, “they are mobsters. They don’t care if they kill women either so stop disrupting with your speaking.”
“I’m saying grown men don’t cry that much. You didn’t cry when we got married.” Kimmie whispered back at him.
“Because I was too focused on all the exits to the chapel trying to figure out which one you were going to beeline for. I was distracted.”
“Very funny,” Kimmie growled.
