Part 2 The ballroom shimmered. Golden chandeliers hung low, throwing soft, flickering light across the room. Waiters in crisp black suits weaved through the crowd, holding trays of champagne flutes. Laughter, expensive cologne, and hushed conversations mixed in the air. Kaaya walked in, her hand unconsciously gripping the folds of her dress. Midnight blue. A color that felt too close to Dev himself dark, unreadable, consuming. And right beside her, Dev walked like he owned the world. Because he did. Every step he took commanded attention.
