Rogan is rushed out of the room by her mate. He looks like he was about to get ready to do his duties in front of the nobles again but was cut short as he is only wearing a white shirt and khaki pants when he got into my room.
He carries her and pads towards the birthing chamber where the doctors and nurses are ready to receive her. I have never seen the King of this country so panicked as today. Having no knowledge of what we discovered about his child, I hope that it won’t change even then.
Maex reluctantly lets me wait in the antechamber to her birthing room with the others. Mersia hugs me almost immediately and Merow keeps asking me if I’m feeling okay and chastises her brother for letting me out of the room without a meal or at all. I smile at all of them.
