I watched my beautiful mate walk into the school. Her ex mate, Jake watched her as well before he turned and growled at me.
“Stay the f**k away from her, you leach” he growled.
“No can do, pup. You had your chance and screw it up big time. For what? Her?” I point to the she wolf clinging to him.
“You gave up a beautiful blessing for that? Pup, you have a lot to learn. That beautiful woman that was once your goddess given mate, is now mine. That woman you thought was trash, is my treasure” I said, truthfully.
“Woman?” the she wolf asked.
“Yes, a woman, because she’s all woman, a true woman, a pure woman, unlike… you” I said. The she wolf gasped and growled at me but I just chuckled. With that, I turned and got in my car. I revved the engine and left the school. I headed back to the castle. When I went in I saw Samuel.
“Samuel, I need you get Devin to come to my office as soon as possible” I said.
“Yes, your majesty” Samuel said and took off. I went to my office to do some work. As I’m working on some budget papers, there a knock on the door.
“Come in” I called. The door opens and Devin, one of my warriors comes in.
“Your majesty, you wanted to see me?” he asked.
“Yes, I have a special task for you” I said leaning back on my chair.
“I want you to go to the school and keep an eye on my mate at school. If you see anyone giving her trouble I want you to help her and call me. Oh and be discreet, I don’t want her to know that I have someone watching her. Got it?” I asked.
“Yes, your majesty” Devin said. He bowed and then left. I know I should tell her this and I wasn’t going to do it but after what happened this morning, I needed to make sure that she was safe and that that pup was not going to bother her. I continued to work on my papers so when I pick up my beautiful mate, I could spend the rest of the time with her.

I close my locker and walk to the cafeteria. I go through the line and grabbed a chicken sandwich, a small fruit bowl, a brownie and a Gatorade. I put in my student number then leave. I walk to the willow tree where I usually sit to have lunch. I unwrap my sandwich and pour some ketchup on it. As I’m about halfway through my sandwich, I felt eyes on me. I looked around, but I saw no one around. I continued to eat my food. I took out my phone and looked at the time then decided to send Malik a text.
Me: Hey, I just finished having lunch.
It didn’t take long for him write me back.
Malik: Hey, princess. That’s good. What did you have?
Me: A chicken sandwich, a small fruit bowl, and a bottle of water.
Malik: Sounds good. What class do you have next?
Me: I have a free period, but I’m going to go to the library to catch up on some work.
That wasn’t true. I’ve been wanting to do something and now that I’m of age, I can do it.
Malik: Okay, and after your free period?
Me: I have art.
Malik: Do you like art?
Me: Yes, I love to draw and paint
Malik: I would love to see your work one day princess.
Me: Okay, I’ll take my book home and show it to you.
Malik: Sounds perfect.
I heard the bell ring and I knew it was time for me to go what I wanted to do.
Me: Okay, I’m going to go. The bell just rang.
Malik: Okay princess.
I got up and threw my trash out before walking out of the school. I walked a few blocks to the tattoo shop. As soon as I walked in a smile spread on my face. I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo, but that will have to wait.
“Hello, how may I help you?” the female asked.
“Hi, I would like to get my tongue pierced” I said.
“Of course, do you have ID?” she asked.
“Yes” I nodded. I gave her my ID and I filled out a paper. Once I was finished, she checked my tongue before piercing it. When she was done, I paid for my piercing.
“I have a question. Do you guys do UV tattoos?” I asked.
“Yes. Do you have anything in mind?” she asked.
“Not yet but, I’ll think about what I want. I don’t want to get just any tattoo. I want it to have a story behind it or a meaning” I said and she nodded in understanding.
“Well, whenever you decide, you can come back and we’ll work on it” she said.
“I will, thank you” I said and headed out. I began to walk to school but I felt like I was being watched. I stayed alert as I walked back to school. I had time to go to the library for a little while. When the bell rang, I went straight to my art class. Today it was a free style class meaning that we didn’t have anything specific to do. We could draw or pain anything that we wanted. I decided to draw Malik. I sat away from everyone and began to draw Malik. By the time I was done the with the picture, the bell rang. I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the classroom. I began to walk out towards the parking lot of the school, when Jake blocked my path.
“You do know that man you were kissing this morning is a vampire” Jake said.
“I know” he goes to say something, but I put my hand up.
“I don’t want to hear it Jake. You made your choices and I accepted it. Now please move out of my way” I said and walked past him. That was totally weird. I walked out of the school and I could see glaring at Malik, who was leaning against the with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. See, the school I go to is in neutral grounds which means that in neutral grounds there is no fighting against other species. Malik’s eyes go to me and I smile making my way towards him. I walked towards Malik and I heard a growl behind me but I ignored it.
“Hi” I smiled.
“Hello princess. How was school?” he asked.
“It was ok. I’m ready for graduation” I said and kissed his lips and he smiled against my lips. I pulled back and smiled. He opens the passenger door for me.
“After you, my lady” he smiles.
“Thank you, my lord” I playfully curtsy making him smile. He closed the door and came around to the driver’s side.
“How was your day today?” I asked.
“It was good. Were you able to catch up on your work?” he asked.
“Yes, I did and I also brought my drawing book” I said and he smiled widely.
“Perfect. I can’t wait to see it” he smiled and I was excited for him to see it including the drawing I did of him today.
