Caspian couldn’t do anything but watch as Audrey left the room with his brother. The effects of the alcohol began winding down and Caspian registered what went wrong. He shouldn’t have said something that insensitive to his future bride. He also should’ve wished her a happy birthday. But instead, he got drunk and yelled stupid things at her.
I’m an absolute piece of crap.
Caspian left the back room feeling absolutely disgusted with his behavior. He didn’t go back to join the party, and instead, he found a quiet corner where he could drink and sulk by himself.
“Hey, have you seen Audrey?”
It was long before Caspian’s peace and quiet were suddenly disturbed by the arrival of Audrey’s two best friends, Mikey and Olivia.
