Michaela’s POV.
We have been back in LA for a few weeks now. Christmas in New York was fun, and it brought back so many memories, plus we all made so many new ones.
It wasn’t weird being there with Candy and Juliet. I asked how they met again and Juliet told me that my father took the first step in messaging her on social media. I was more shocked that he knew what social media was.
He was in Boston on business and so they met for coffee. They talked, shared their vulnerability and fears. They became kindred spirits bonded through shared trauma. I could see it when I looked at them. The way my father smiled at her and how she was with him.
It warms my heart to know that my father has found someone who he loves other than me, that is. I’m happy for them. I always worried that he would
