I wasn’t lying when I told Mic that none of our fathers were great examples or the fact they were kind to us. Our fathers were brutal. Mine and Luc’s were far worse than Marco’s. At least Marco’s father was loyal, but he ruled with an iron fist and from what Marco told us, his father wasn’t ashamed to give his son a royal beating when needed, and never in private. But that is his story to tell.
My father was a president and set so far in his ways that, to some degree, he didn’t truly believe in loyalty. Only loyal to the club but never to me or my mother.
