Michaela’s POV. I look out through the glass of the balcony door. The grounds are vast and I can see what can only be described as a small zoo. So that is Santiago’s menagerie. And yup, there is a lion and tigers and all manner of animals. My heart aches for them. They do not belong here on display like this for one man’s sick amusement. How many people has he fed to these animals? I shudder to think if he was telling the truth before or if he was just trying to scare me, but I know one thing for certain: I will not be around long enough to find out.
