Driving in convoy, Jackson led the way to Skylar’s home, Alexandra, Skylar and harper with him, followed by Taylor with Melissa and Clarkson, and finally Brent with a rather sullen looking Lauren who had her arms crossed tightly over her chest as she stared out of the window at the passing scenery.
Her eyes widened as she saw Jackson stop by two guards who immediately bowed to him. One leaned down beside the window, the pair in deep conversation for a few moments as the guard gave a fleeting look to Brent’s car and nodded before they both stepped back to allow the cars through.
Lauren wanted to ask why the guards were bowing to a teenager but the strained look on Brent’s face made the words die on her lips.
