The g**g had not left Skylar’s house until dark, finally taking their leave as Mrs Parker returned home, her body drained, but still happy to inform them all that Melissa was fine, out of pain and now sleeping.
The following morning, as she left the kitchen after breakfast, Skylar bumped into a tired looking Taylor who was making his way into the pack house through the front door.
Touching his arm gently, the Omega garnered his attention, ‘are you OK Tay?’ she asked softly, looking over his exhausted features.
Looking up in surprise, he gave a weary smile as he nodded, ‘yeah, I didn’t sleep last night’ he replied, ‘I couldn’t fall asleep in case she had more pain’ he added worriedly.
