Claire's POV
"Mrs. Watson, Evelyn Reed is here. She says Alpha Lucius sent her," Margaret said. Her face looked worried.
I felt shocked. My hand went to my belly automatically. Evelyn Reed? Here? Hearing her name made my heart beat fast.
"If she says Lucius sent her, I have to see her," I said to Margaret.
Margaret nodded. She went to open the door.
I wanted to know what Evelyn had to say to me. I was curious. Had she been with Lucius during these past months? She must be very upset. After all, months had passed, and Lucius still hadn't divorced me.
A few minutes later, Margaret led her into the room.
I sat on the sofa, watching her smile at me. Then she sat down on a sofa across from me.
I looked at the thing in Margaret's hand, then looked at Evelyn.
