Ever since Claire fainted, I couldn't relax even though the doctor kept telling me she and the baby were okay. I wasn't taking any risks, so I made her stay home and rest. No going out, period.
My wolf, Raven, had something to say about that, "You're treating our mate like she'll break, but you keep acting like you don't care about her."
I tuned out Raven and went back to the pile of contracts and paperwork on my desk. That big European deal I had to put off when Claire was in the hospital? Yeah, I really needed to get that sorted out.
