"I've been very busy lately, I won't be coming back. Take good care of Mrs. Watson. Connor will bring groceries regularly, and contact me immediately if anything important happens."
Hearing this, my heart filled with bitterness.
What did he mean by this? Was he drawing a line between us? He wouldn't explain our mate bond clearly, and he didn't plan to discuss divorce either?
But obviously, the bond wasn't enough for him. He'd known about this our whole relationship, felt the same pull I now felt, and still kept his distance. Still treated me politely but coldly. Still hadn't fallen in love with me the way I had with him.
