Donna Harper

2221 Words
Harper is looking forward to seeing what will happen now that everyone in the Mafia knows she will take over from Jayden and her father, Jack. Harper knows that the Agostis are not happy about her taking over, and they are trying to get into a more prominent family so they can have a say in the future of the Italian Mafia in the states. That will not happen. Not one of the younger Dons wants to marry Sienna. Sienna is weak, and the Agosti family is doomed as they have no one strong enough to run their family. Harper frowns. What if the young Don she saw at the meeting today decides to get married to Sienna for the sake of his family? Where has she seen him before? Why does it feel like she knows him from somewhere? Harper goes to her father's office. They came home about an hour ago. Harper does have her own home, but her father and mother want her to stay with them until they know no one in the Italian Mafia will try to do anything to her now that they know Harper is the heir to the Casella throne. "Are you busy, daddy?" Harper asks as she walks into Jack's office. Jack smiles. "I am never too busy for you, pumpkin," Jack answers. "Well, I want to ask you who the young Don was that kept staring at me with a smirk," Harper says. She knows her father will know who she is talking about, since he is a Don in the Mafia, and nothing escapes him. Jack does know who Harper is talking about, as he has seen Dean Morretti stare at his daughter with a smirk. Jack does not like the disrespectful manner of the young Don. He will have to talk to Dean's grandfather about his grandson's attitude. "Dean Morretti. They are the second most prominent family in the Italian Mafia in the states. I will talk to Dean's grandfather about Dean's attitude. I do not like it," Jack frowns. "No, father, do not talk to his grandfather. I will sort him out. Besides, I do not want him to think I am too weak to fight my own battles and hide behind my father," Harper says. Jack nods. He did not think about it. Harper must fight her own battles within the Italian Mafia from the start. She can not show any weakness or that she will use her family to protect her. She must show everyone that she is a strong leader. "You are right. It is better to show your strength from the start," Jack says. "From what region are the Morretti Family?" Harper asks. "They run Texas. The Dons in Texas are very loyal to the Morretti family, but they fear the Casella family and will never turn against us as they know we have loyal Dons on our side. Besides, we have run the Italian Mafia for a long time here in the states, and they know we have the money and the power to sink all of them. Financially, no one stands a chance against us. The Dons do not want to lose their territories and position in the Italian Mafia. They also know that the Petrov family from the Russian Mafia will back you, and they can not afford to have two powerful enemies," Jack explains everything to Harper. Harper nods. She is sitting in front of her father's desk. "I feel like I know this Dean from somewhere, but I can not think of where I have seen him before. I am afraid he will consider marrying Sienna to unite two of the most prominent families in the Italian Mafia. The Agostis and the Morrettis are both big families. I have studied all the families. After tonight, I know more or less who is the head of what family. Most of the Dons came to introduce themselves to me. Dean and his grandfather did not come to greet or introduce themselves, but now I know who they are," Harper says. "Hmm, I do not think Dean will go for a woman like Sienna. Sienna is very entitled, which is one thing Dean Morretti can not handle. But, on the other hand, the Morrelli family may want the Agosti family's territory, and Dean may take one for the team," Jack says. "Well, I hope not. If the Agosti and Morrelli families unite, they may become stronger than us, and we do not want it," Harper says. "I know, but I do not think Morrelli will unite the two families, as the Morrelli Family are much stronger than the Agosti family and the Agosti family are very entitled. They will want everything the Morrelli have, and they will want a say in the Morelli family," Jack says. "The elderly Don has a very old-fashioned outlook. He will try and use his daughter to get to the Morelli's or us. I heard him tell Sienna that she needed to marry Dean or Cole. Cole laughed and told me she was not his type and that he would never marry her. So we do not need to worry about Cole," Harper says. However, she is not convinced that Dean will not take the bait. Harper could not forget the smirk on Dean's face when he glared at her at the meeting. "So you are worried about Dean marrying Sienna? I can not blame you. Dean seems immune to the beauty of a woman. He and Sienna had a relationship a few years back, but she left him for a wealthy man. I think Dean wanted to unite the two families back then. I can only hope that it is not what he is planning now. We will be ready if they try to unite the two families. We can do without the Agosti family. However, we need the Morrelli family as they are powerful and run Texas. We can not take them out as many of the Dons in Texas will turn on us. Texas is loyal to Morelli and sees him as their leader, but they respect and fear us. I know they loved your great-grandmother and grandfather. We are still running the Mafia, as Jayden is still the Godfather. Soon, you will be the first Godmother here in the states. We are still running Houston, though," Jack says. Jack is deep in thought. He knows he needs to prepare Harper for anything that can happen, and he does not want her to feel she is alone. She can always count on her family. He also knows his daughter and how stubborn she can be. Harper wants to show everyone that she can run the Italian Mafia and do it independently, without her grandfather, uncles and father's help. Harper is very strong-willed. She does not have to do everything herself, but Jack knows she will try. Harper is thinking about Dean and Sienna. She must stop them from uniting the Agosti and Morretti families, but how? Harper gets up and greets her dad. She has some work to do. She smiles as she calls her cousins. They will meet her in an hour at her place. Carol, Carley and Cole walk into Harper's apartment an hour later. Jack and Tammy did not want Harper to go to her apartment, but she explained that the triples were coming over and they wanted to talk business. Jack and Tammy let her go as they know Harper needs to do things her way. They do not know what she is planning, but they know it will involve the Argosti and Morretti families. Jack told Tammy everything he and Harper talked about. Carol, Carley and Cole wonder why Harper called them for a meeting. They will stay at her place tonight and bring their overnight bags. They each have a home of their own, but they like to be together and make plans for the future. Harper tells them what she found out about the Morrelli and Agosti families. "We can not let them unite. I do not like or trust Dean Morrelli. He looks like the type with too much ambition for his own good," Cole says. "I know, but we can not touch him or his family as we need him as an ally," Harper says. "So, how will we ensure Dean and Sienna do not get married?" Cole asks. "We will let them hate each other," Harper says. "I like how you think, Donna," Carol laughs. "How do we do that?" Carley asks. "We cause trouble between the two families. I know Sienna is out drinking in a club with her parents, and the elder Don is in bed sleeping. I have one of their cars. They will not miss it until morning. The guards they brought with them are all busy looking after Sienna and her parents or the elder Don," Harper says with a smile. "What are you planning to do?" Carley asks. "Well, we can take a "hit" on Don Dean Morrelli. But, of course, we will miss, and he will only see the car that belongs to the Agosti family," Harper says. "There will be a war between the Agosti and Morrelli families," Carley says. "The Morrelli family will win. But, we do not need the Agosti family," Harper says. "What if Dean Morrelli is not stupid and puts two and two together? He will know we want them to fight and keep him and Sienna apart. He will then turn on us," Carley says. She has always been the more sensible one of the three. "Well, what do you suggest then?" Harper asks. She was sure her plan was good, but Carley was talking sense. "We make Sienna undesirable for any man in the Italian Mafia. That way, the elder Don of the Agosti family will not make her the head of the family. We must ensure that no man inside the Italian Mafia with a reputation to protect will want Sienna," Carley says. Harper smiles. "And how do we do that?" Cole asks. "Well, what is the one thing that the Dons hate the most?" Carley asks. "A traitor," Harper says. "Yes, a snitch! We set Sienna up with a cop who makes her drunk and ensures the cop gets some information he was not supposed to know about. We also make sure the security cameras catch Sienna and the cop together. She will be a humiliation to the Agosti family, and no other Don will dare to touch her or marry her. She will be useless to the Agosti family, and I bet someone will take them out for informing the police," Carley says. "That is clever, but where do we find a cop everyone knows about? Who has his knife in for the Italian Mafia?" Harper asks. "I know someone young and ambitious enough to take the bait," Carley says. She knows of a young FBI agent that will do anything to catch a Mafia Don. She smiles. The FBI agent will use any method to get his prey. He will even sleep with Sienna to do it. They all know Jacob Smith. They also know that the Dons in the Italian Mafia know about him. They all hate him. He has already arrested a few stupid Dons that allowed Jacob to catch them. They were a burden on the Italian Mafia and will not be missed, but they had to keep Jacob busy so he would leave the bigger fish alone. So the Casellas did not mind him catching the weaker Mafia Dons. "I like your plan. We will set it in motion right away," Harper says. Carley smiles. She takes her phone and makes an anonymous call to the FBI agent. Jacob Smith can not believe his luck. The Agosti family are well known in the states, and he knows they are involved with the Mafia, but he does not know how. Tonight is the night he can at last catch a bigger fish. He will get promoted if he can catch them and what is easier than pursuing the Agosti family's daughter? He knows she is cheap and will fall for any man. He will make her drunk, and she will spill the beans. Jacob Smith looks at his partner. According to Jacob, Thomas Anderson is from a small town and has no ambition. He will not let his partner in on this. He will do this job independently and ensure he gets all the credit when they arrest the elderly Agosti, his son and granddaughter. Thomas does not look up from his PC when his partner says he is going home. Thomas does not care. He knows his partner and that Jacob is playing with fire. Thomas looks at the photos of his father in the Sheriff's uniform. He is proud of Douglas and his mother, Vicky. Thomas loves his brother and sister and does not want their lives in danger. He knows Jacob likes to go after the Mafia, and he bet the phone call Jacob got was about the Italian Mafia in LA. They know the Dons are having a meeting, but no one else wants to get involved except for Jacob. Thomas is more interested in catching serial killers anyway.
