I watch Seraphina gesture animatedly while telling Cassius some story, more relaxed than I've seen her since she arrived. My jaw clenches hard enough to ache.
It's been two weeks since she arrived at Winterhold. Two weeks of watching her settle in—not with me, but with him. Every dinner is the same.
