"Ahhh," I scream in fright and jump out of my seat, with my heart beating rapidly and my hands trembling by my side, when I feel someone grab my shoulders.
But it's only Luke. Seeing him has me sighing in relief.
"Hey, what is it?" Luke says with a frown, "it's just me." He says with worried eyes and pulls me into his arms, holding me tight against him, as I breathe in and slowly calm down.
I sigh, "sorry, you just startled me." I whisper and nestle his chest, giving myself time to calm down.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"I am," I whisper and he kisses my hair, his hands rubbing my back.
I have been home for a few hours after going to see Mia. I still can't get it out of my head. It's still not possible for the record of her loan to just vanish.
