“Do you want me to kick his ass?” Tyrone asked angry as s**t as he drove. He’d invited Cleo on a little outing and now seemed like a good time for her to tell him everything. Everything that had transpired in DAYS.
Having told him already about Theo and how rude he’d been to her, not to mention heartless to Hailey. “No because he’s a prick not to mention he looks like a p***y. He’d press charges after you kick his ass and I can’t have my man in jail trying to defend me.”
Tyrone smiled a little as she sweetly beamed at him, “But it’s so damn sexy you want to fight for me.” Winking at her, Tyrone asked, “Anything else eventually happen?” Cleo nodded, “Yeah, I found out the reason why Hailey wanted to see him in the first place. She just so happened to get a visit from her biological father before we went to your grandfather’s. She didn’t ruin my night by telling me, but he showed up out of the blue.”
Whistling hurting for Hailey since he knew that had been rough, Tyrone couldn’t imagine it. And he damn sure couldn’t imagine it’d get worse from there. “No get this, prick didn’t even come to see her or make it right. He came because he’s sick and needs a kidney.”
Groaning, Tyrone asked, “Can I go kick his ass at least? Please baby let me kick someone’s ass here!” Cleo blew a raspberry, “No, because he’s sick. And he’s a p***y too. He'd press charges just to see what he could squeeze out of you. Besides, I've already had to cover up one crime.”
Tyrone stopped at the red light horrified, “Wait what!?” Cleo nodded remembering now, “Right, I forgot to tell you about the assault with a deadly weapon charge we almost got tagged with.” Tyrone was slack-jawed as Cleo rehashed the almost dire events.
Going down into the basement was almost like descending into hell this point around. It smelt so foul, Cleo was sure she’d find Peyton’s dead body. Holding on to her, Hailey groaned, “Ugh it smells like something died down here.”
Cleo looked at her mortified, as she stopped on the stairs, “Dude considering we’re checking on your birth giver after you took a hammer to her, that’s not exactly comforting!” Hailey nodded as she casually chirped, “You have a point there. It smells like something rotted down here? Is that better?”
Cleo’s face said not by much. Hailey shrugged, “Well if she is dead, yay us right? That’s one less thing for us to handle.”
Cleo looked forward as she heard a rasped, “I’m still alive bitches!”
Hailey pouted, “Aw.” Cleo looked at her incredulous, “Ugh, were you gonna be the one to dispose of her!?” Hailey shrugged a little amused, “No lie I would have gotten sick, but I would have.” Cleo sighed as she warily admitted, “Fine and I would have helped. But we agree if we bury we leave no teeth, hands, or feet. That’s how they identify someone.”
Hailey nodded, “Yeah and we have to destroy the face, facial recognition software these days are so advanced.” Cleo agreed as they both immediately began cleaning up Peyton’s mess. “Yeah! And we’d have to find a way to by hydrofluoric acid that wouldn’t be traced back to us. It’ll break the body down fast and if someone did find her, they wouldn’t be able to identify her.”
Just as Hailey was about to add something else, Peyton snapped, “HEY!” Turning to see Peyton wide and freaked out, Cleo asked calmly, “What?” Peyton looked between them angry and frightened, “I said, “I’m still alive!”” Cleo was disgusted as she dumped the bucket of feces and turned on the scalding hot water to clean the sink.
“Clearly.” She groaned as the s**t stank up the entire basement. Hailey jogged up the stairs and came back with a mini fan, air freshener, and cleaning supplies.
As they cleaned up, Peyton came from huddled in the corner and held her broken hand, “Damn you broke her hand?” She asked Hailey amused. Hailey shrugged, “I was aiming for her face but she moved at the last minute.”
Peyton looked at her daughter with revulsion, “Was I supposed to just lay still and let you bust my face open?” Cleo jumped in as she looked at Peyton’s red and swollen hand. “We need to get that looked out. If it gets worse, we’d have to amputate it.” Eyes wide in absolutely petrified, Peyton shouted, “No way! NO, stay the hell away from!”
Cleo smirked devilishly, “While I’d love to pay you back for making me cut my hair, I’m not that evil.” Hailey hummed, “On another note though, you killed that buzz cut sis. I’d never seen one so pretty on a girl before.”
Cleo beamed, “Thanks boo.”
Hailey winked at her and then snapped as she realized who they could get to help, “Dr. Shaw!” Looking at her confused as she grabbed the mop and started cleaning the nasty floors, Cleo asked, “Who?”
Hailey looked at her mom, “She was screwing a doctor. A married doctor at that, and she was blackmailing him, most likely for drugs when she couldn’t get a fix. I bet he’d be more than happy to help us.”
Cleo wasn’t so sure. But when Hailey placed the call, Dr. Shaw came over. He didn’t look like he believed them until they went to the basement. The balding, pudgy man, looked at Peyton who glared at him livid.
“Well don’t just stand there!” She hissed, “Do something!” Dr. Richard Shaw looked at Peyton. The greatest mistake of his life, he’d been blackmailed by her after a one-night stand. Having to supply her with pain meds and other scripts, he’d almost lost his practice because of her.
Until one little slip up in the investigator's office ended with him getting off scot-free. And now, here he was, looking at her miserable as she laid half-naked chain to a wall. Oh, how the universe helped things come full circle.
“Let me see your hand.” Peyton looked at Richard pissed off, “Are you f*****g kidding me!? Ric, they are holding me hostage in my home! They have me chained against the wall! You, as a grown-ass man, can’t honestly think this s**t is okay?”
Richard looked at Hailey, “I need something to keep her quiet.” Peyton looked at him horrified as he went into his bag. “Oh relax,” He, told her as he grabbed the chair in the corner, “I’m not going to torture you. But I need to see what’s broken and how to fix it as best I can.”
When Hailey came back with a make shift gag, Peyton’s eyes widened when she held up a sock and tape. “And it’s probably going to hurt,” Hailey predicted, “A lot.” Shaking her head, Peyton looked at Cleo desperately, “Then take me to the hospital! Please!”
Cleo took one look at her and shook her head, “And have you telling everyone that we've been helping you to get clean? Yeah, I don’t think so.”
Richard pointed to the chair, “Sit, here Peyton, I need to look at it.” Peyton didn’t want to go anywhere near him. Since it was obvious Richard was going to be playing along with this craziness.
But Peyton didn’t have a choice as her daughter whistled to grab her attention. Holding up the hammer, Hailey bluffed, “I don’t think you want to have more broken bones mama. Not when we have an on-call doctor now.” And when Richard didn’t protest yet again, Peyton got in the chair.
Checking it out, Richard saw it was mostly her pinkie, ring, and middle finger mostly affected by this. “You must have held back. They weren’t crushed and I don’t even need an x-ray. I can set them back and put a split on them.”
When he went to do just that, Peyton freaked, “Aren’t you going to give me something for the pain first?” Richard scoffed, “I think you’ve had enough drugs for all of us. But I think I have some numbing cream.”
And he did, and while that wasn’t what she wanted, she knew she had no choice. So, after putting on some numbing cream, Peyton had to still be gagged. Righting her fingers and putting them in split, Peyton was crying and cursing behind the sock. After she was done, Cleo ripped the tape from her mouth.
“There you go, all good as new,” Cleo chirped before looking at Hailey, “Wanna go order some dinner?” Hailey did and both left as Dr. Shaw packed up his medical bag. When Peyton assumed they were gone she looked at Richard hopefully, “Okay they are gone, get me out of here!”
Richard looked at Peyton amused, “I’m sorry?” Peyton breathed out shakily, “I said, “They are gone, get me the f**k out of here!” Now, or I swear Ric, our little s*x tape? It’s going to be on your wife’s phone as soon as I get out of here!”
Richard sucked his teeth dramatically, “Ohhh, about that? Yeah apparently, your step-daughter found it, and we were able to cut a pretty sweet deal. She deleted it for me, and now I don’t have to do a damn thing you say.”
Peyton tried to lie, tried to say she had multiple copies hidden. But Richard laughed at her, “Oh Peyton, you’re a manipulative b***h, but you’re not a clever one. You had one copy on your computer not even backed up to anything. And that means we’re done.”
Grabbing his bag he started to leave but Peyton pleaded for him not to, “Please don’t leave me down here! Hailey is pissed at me and Cleo hates me, it’s only a matter of time before I die down here!” But not a flicker of concern passed over Richard’s face.
“Yeah well, we all know how you treated Cleo. Everyone saw you making her sleep outside sometimes, or talking to her so cruel. It’s only now we get to see Hailey for the sweet girl she is. Not the mini monster you were trying to make her into. No one has even asked where you’ve been, no one cares Peyton.”
Looking her over, Richard grumbled, “You’re a horrible person, and I don’t pity you. You’re exactly where you need to be.” Peyton kept trying to get him to come back because, for her, he was her only hope.
Peyton had hoped she could guilt him into caring. But as Cleo and Hailey clearly heard, Dr. Shaw didn’t give a flying saucer about Peyton. And he’d lose no sleep if anything happened to her. He left out with a casual goodbye to the girls saying he’d be back in a few weeks to check on Peyton’s hand.
He didn’t say anything else or give them insight on he felt about their methods. But him leaving that night and the police not showing up said it all.
Tyrone looked at Cleo for a moment and then admitted, “That’s kind of hot but also kind of scary.” Cleo looked at him quickly, “Trust me, I don’t take immense joy in this,” Tyrone was pulling into a long driveway when he gave her a look. “Okay so I take small joy in it, but I didn’t want Hailey to get in trouble. So we may have hammed up what we KNOW we could do with a body. To be honest, I didn’t think she’d believe us, but at least it got her to stop screaming.”
So there’s that.
Tyrone shook his head as he confessed, “To be honest I didn’t want to leave you in that house with them. I thought they’d hurt you out of spite or jealousy. I never thought in a million years this would transpire.”
Cleo giggled as she confessed, “Yeah well me either, but I do like this better.”
When he pulled up to a mansion all of a sudden, Cleo realized she had no clue where they were. “Um, where are we?” Tyrone coughed as he reminded her, “Ugh, my mama invited you over for tea?” Cleo’s eyes widened in horror, “Tyrone!”
