Ronan This scene starts a few moments before the end of the previous chapter. “And even that title is more than I think you ever deserve.” My mother’s face hardens in a way that I am all too familiar with. It's the same look that she used to give me when I was a pup, whenever I did something she didn't like or that she thought was beneath the title of Alpha. “Ronan, what is the meaning of this?” she shouted as she ripped her arm from the warrior's grasp and glared at him, just as my father stepped in beside her. His head may be held high, his chin jutted out in arrogance, but his gaze does not meet mine. In fact, he goes well out of his way to look anywhere else in the room but at me. “Get your hands off her,” he bellows and attempts to use his alpha aura to subdue my warriors.
