"Well, that went better than expected." Beckett said happily before smirking over at me as I looked towards him with the most bewildered expression.
"Beckett, my dad literally choked on a freaking carrot. Mom had to give him the heimlich." I mumbled, slapping my hands over my face as Beckett parked the car outside of our new apartment building.
"Yeah, it might not have been the best idea to tell then after the food came..." Beckett admitted sheepishly. That's when I felt his hands reach over and unbuckle my seatbelt.
"Come here, Sunshine. It's over with now. We told them about the engagement, and there is nothing else to worry about."
