(Elodie) I stared up at the ceiling, feeling Beckett's arm draped over my waist as his head was nestled firmly against my chest. I couldn't sleep, yet again. With the lack of sleep I have been getting, I should have passed out by now, but my mind was left racing. I felt... weird. I mean, obviously I couldn't expect Beckett to say I love you back with a confession like that. But maybe I should've held it in a little longer. I felt so overwhelmed in the moment that all of my emotions came rushing out of me, causing those words to tumble out. All Beckett could do was stare at me. He was like a freaking deer in headlights.
