Lucas wiped the sweat off of his face and continued to search for the laboratory. They couldn't hear the sound of gunshots below anymore. He clenched his hand into a fist and gripped his gun tightly.
"For Aaron," Lucas whispered. Dale and Alexi silently nodded their heads. When they arrived at the floor where the laboratory was located, they found a few lurkers wandering.
Lucas, Dale, and Alexi took their knives out. It was better to use the blades with the number of lurkers present than the gun. If they fired their guns, the lurkers below them would surely make their way upstairs.

They took care of the lurkers immediately, killing them mercilessly. They know the lurkers were once humans, but not anymore.
